Arrival & Departure
What time is check-in?
Check-in is from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Please contact us in advance if arriving later.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is at 11:00am. Pitches must be left clean and tidy. A late check-out fee applies.
Can I arrive without checking in at reception?
No. All guests must check in at reception for safety, registration, and eco-guideline briefings.
Facilities & Services
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available at reception. Three 5G coverage is also available throughout the park.
Are BBQs allowed?
Yes. BBQs and braziers must be raised at least 50 cm above the ground base. Height rules do not apply on the beach. Braziers and grills are available to hire.
What is the quality of your water?
Our water is pure, natural spring water of exceptional quality. It is naturally chlorine-free, crystal clear, and great-tasting. We ensure its absolute safety through independent regular testing and full compliance with the EU Drinking Water Regulations 2023.
Can I park beside my pitch?
Yes. Most pitches include parking beside your camping spot.
Do you have electricity?
Yes. Selected pitches for certified habitation units only (no tents) include eco-friendly electricity. Advance booking is essential.
Do you have showers and toilets?
Yes. Eco-friendly facilities are available, designed for water efficiency.
Do you offer laundry facilities?
Yes. A low-energy laundry service is available.
Is the park secure?
Yes. The park has a security barrier, CCTV, and on-site security.
Do you have quiet hours?
Yes. From 11:00 PM nightly to maintain a peaceful, nature-friendly atmosphere.
Do I need special pegs?
Sometimes, but in particular if the tent has light, narrow gauge wire pegs. Sand or storm pegs are strongly recommended for adverse conditions and large tents in general. (available at reception).
Can I charge phones or devices?
Yes. A safe communal charging point at reception is available for guests without electric pitches.
Do you have grey-water disposal?
Yes, a designated point is available for campervans and motorhomes.
Do you have black-water disposal?
Yes, a designated point is available for campervans and motorhomes using green eco-friendly products only (available at reception).
Are drones allowed?
No. Drones disturb wildlife and other guests unless pre-approved for specific eco-documentation projects or other compelling reasons.
Do you sell essentials on-site?
A small eco-shop at reception offers camping basics, e.g. pegs, gas, eco toilet additives, and firewood.
Bookings & Payments
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. We are a pre-booking-only park, and summer/high-season dates book out early.
What is your cancellation policy?
- Pitches: Refund if cancelled 21 days before arrival.
- Rentals: Refund if cancelled 30 days before arrival.
- A 10% admin fee applies to all refunds.
- No refunds for late cancellations, early departures, no-shows, or reduced numbers.

How do I pay?
We accept Visa and Mastercard payments, as well as cash. Please note that cash is required for certain deposits and shower facilities.
Pitches & Vehicles
Do you have hard standings?
Our eco-friendly hardstandings are sand-based, load-bearing pitches that accommodate campervans and larger vehicles while preserving a natural, environmentally sensitive setting.
Are tents allowed on all pitches?
Pets & Families
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Well-behaved pets are welcome. A €50 cash deposit applies and is refunded when guidelines are followed.
Is the park suitable for children?
Yes. Families are welcome. The park is a designated child-protected safety area. Children must be supervised at all times, especially near the water and dunes.
Do you have a playground?
No. Our setting encourages natural, low-impact outdoor play in a safe and supervised environment.
Nature & Activities
How close is the beach?
The park is only metres from a secluded private white-sand beach.
Do you offer water activities?
We do not provide activities directly, but guests may enjoy swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, SUPing, angling, and more, at their own responsibility.
Is swimming safe?
Generally yes. The beach is free of riptides and currents, but all coastal swimming requires caution. Always assess conditions and supervise children.
Can I collect shells, seaweed, or rocks?
To protect biodiversity, guests must leave natural materials undisturbed.
Is fishing allowed from the shore?
Yes. For personal use. Guests must follow local guidelines and respect protected species.
Eco Practices & Rules
Do you allow open ground fires?
No. Open ground fires are prohibited. Raised BBQs and hired braziers (50 cm minimum base to ground clearance) are permitted.
Do you have recycling facilities?
Yes. Clearly marked recycling and waste stations are located throughout the park. Guests must sort waste.
Are generators allowed?
No. Generators are not permitted in order to preserve the tranquillity of the park and minimise environmental impact.
Do you restrict vehicle movement?
Yes. For safety and wildlife protection, vehicle movement is restricted.
Do you have EV charging?
Yes. Limited EV charging is available. Guests must request access in advance.
Do you use eco-friendly cleaning products?
Yes. Only certified low-impact cleaning and sanitation products are used on-site.
Do you offset the carbon generated by guests?
Yes. We actively offset the carbon emissions associated with guest stays through our certified climate-neutral programme.
Do you support carbon-neutral travel?
Yes. Guests can request information on low-impact travel and certified offsetting options.
Is there a sustainability contribution included in my stay?
Yes, a sustainability contribution is included. Your stay directly supports our ongoing marine and environmental conservation efforts.
Do you have a no-light-pollution policy?
Yes. We minimise artificial lighting to protect night skies and wildlife. Guests are asked to use low-impact torches.
Location & Transport
How far is the park from local towns/villages?
We’re 9 km from Clifden, 3 km from Claddaghduff, and 6 km from Cleggan.
Is public transport available?
Public transport is available in Clifden and Cleggan.
Can taxis reach the park?
Yes. Local taxis can drop off and collect guests at the reception area.
Weather & Conditions
Do you close during bad weather?
The park generally remains open. In moderate to severe conditions, management may adjust pitches, issue safety guidance, or temporarily close the park depending on the advisory warning.
Is the site windy?
Not continuously. As a coastal location, light sea breezes are common and often welcome, as they help keep insects, especially midges, at bay.
